(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- The Miami-Dade Elections Department strives to make voting as convenient as possible for all voters to increase their participation. As such, the Department reminds voters there are three ways to vote: by absentee, early voting, and on Election Day, November 6, 2012, at their assigned precinct.
Voters who wish to participate in this election via absentee ballot have until today at 5:00 pm to request an absentee ballot. Any registered voter may request an absentee ballot by submitting their request online, by email, telephone or fax. Absentee ballots may be returned by mail or in person to:

Important Reminders to Absentee Voters:
- Completed absentee ballots must be received by Tuesday, November 6th at 7 p.m. to be accepted as valid.
- Ensure that you sign inside the red box on the outside of the absentee ballot envelope.
- Do not give your ballot to anyone who has not been properly authorized per section 12-14 of the Code of Miami-Dade County.
- Postage is no longer necessary.
