Early Voting in Miami-Dade begins today at 20 convenient locations for 14 days

(MIAMI, October 21, 2013) – Early Voting for the November 5, 2013 Miami-Dade County Special Election regarding the modernization of the Jackson Health System started today and will run through Sunday, November 3.  Hours of operation vary to accommodate the needs of all Miami-Dade voters.

As in past elections, 20 Early Voting sites are conveniently located throughout Miami-Dade County. However, Aventura City Hall, a site used in prior elections has been under construction and therefore the North Miami Beach Public Library will be used as a replacement site.

Voters are reminded they may go to any of the 20 sites throughout the Early Voting period, unlike Election Day when they must go to their assigned precinct.

Wait times for all 20 sites will be posted on the Elections Department’s website and will be updated throughout the day, so that voters can make an informed decision as to when and where is most convenient for them. Voters are also encouraged to review the sample ballot on the Department’s website to view ballot language before casting their vote.
