Today is the last day to request an absentee ballot for the August 26, 2014, Primary Election
(MIAMI, August 20, 2014) – The Miami-Dade Elections Department would like to remind all voters that today at 5:00 p.m. is the deadline to request an Absentee Ballot for the August 26, 2014, Primary Election.
Absentee Voting
More than 71,000 voters have already participated in this election via absentee ballot. If you are interested in voting by absentee ballot, your request must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. today. You may do so by telephone (305-499-8444), online, email, or fax (305-499-8401).
Completed Absentee Ballots may be returned by mail or in person to:

Important Reminders to Absentee Voters:
- Completed absentee ballots must be received by Tuesday, August 26, 2014, at 7:00 p.m. to be accepted as valid
- Ensure that the Absentee Ballot and the Absentee Ballot return envelope is properly filled out. Ensure that you sign inside the red box on the outside of the absentee ballot envelope
- Do not give your ballot to anyone who has not been properly authorized per Section 12-14 of the Code of Miami-Dade County
- Postage is no longer necessary for countywide elections
In addition to Absentee Voting, voters may opt to vote at an Early Voting location through Sunday or on Election Day.
Early Voting
More than 15,000 voters have already taken advantage of Early Voting. Voters who wish to participate in this election via Early Voting have until this Sunday, August 24, 2014, to cast their ballot at one of the 20 Early Voting locations conveniently located throughout Miami-Dade County. The schedule, locations, and wait times may be found online.
Election Day
Voters who wish to participate in this election on Election Day must go to their assigned precinct.
