The August 26, 2014 Primary Election is just days away
(MIAMI, August 22, 2014) – With the August 26, 2014, Primary Election just days away, the Miami-Dade Elections Department would like to remind voters about the three ways to vote: by returning your voted Absentee Ballot, visiting an Early Voting site open through Sunday, or voting at your assigned precinct on Election Day.
Absentee Voting
More than 77,000 voters have already participated in this election via absentee ballot. Completed Absentee Ballots must be returned by mail or in person to:

Important Reminders to Absentee Voters:
- Completed absentee ballots must be received no later than 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 26, 2014, to be accepted as valid.
- Ensure that the Absentee Ballot and the Absentee Ballot return envelope are properly filled out. Sign inside the red box on the outside of the absentee ballot envelope.
- Do not give your ballot to anyone who has not been properly authorized per Section 12-14 of the Code of Miami-Dade County.
- Postage is no longer necessary for countywide elections.
Early Voting
More than 19,000 voters have already taken advantage of Early Voting. Voters who wish to participate in this election via Early Voting have until this Sunday, August 24, 2014, to cast their ballot at one of the 20 Early Voting locations conveniently located throughout Miami-Dade County. The schedule, locations, and wait times may be found online.
Election Day
Voters who participate on Election Day must go to their assigned precinct. Due to reprecincting, a small percentage of voters were assigned a new voting location for this election cycle, and have already been notified. Voters are reminded to confirm their voting location before heading to the polls on Tuesday by checking their Voter Information Card or going online.
