The City Charter currently provides for the Mayor and Commissioners to be elected in March of odd-numbered years. It is proposed that the Charter be amended to provide for the general election for the Mayor and Commissioners to be held in November of even-numbered years, and for the term of office and allowed length of service to be extended to accomplish this election date change.
