Project L.E.A.D. (Literacy for Every Adult in Dade)

Project L.E.A.D. (Literacy for Every Adult in Dade) is an adult literacy program designed to reach out to English speaking adults who are functionally illiterate and have reading and writing skills that are inadequate to cope with the demands of everyday life. They have difficulty or are unable to fill out forms, read to their child or read the instructions on medicine bottle.  Project L.E.A.D. provides free, one-on-one, confidential tutoring to help improve their reading and writing skills. We match adult learners with volunteer tutors who help them achieve self-determined literacy goals.
