January 15, 2014 - Youth Services Outreach Meeting
As we continue to move forward on our community efforts, the Engage305-Youth Services team would like to cordially invite you to attend their upcoming Community Outreach Meetings.
Our Youth Services Outreach Team will be hosting a meeting for all those who are interested in networking with other agencies and learning about how to become engaged with our youth in Miami-Dade County. The Miami-Dade County Juvenile Services Department will convene the second of a series of discussions to address the service needs of at-risk children and how your ministries/services can provide a viable safety net.

January 16, 2014 - Children & Elderly Services Meeting
The Mayor's Engage305 Initiative and the Miami Dade Community Action and Human Services Department invite you to join the Engage305 – Children & Elderly Services Team, which will be hosting a series of discussions on how to become engaged in Children and Elderly services in Miami-Dade County.
During these discussions, programs and services for low-income children and elderly in Miami-Dade will be highlighted, focusing on critical issues for children and seniors as well as how your ministries/services can better connect to this population. The Miami-Dade Community Action and Human Services Department will host the first of a series of discussions.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue -- Fire Safety
As we stated in our message last month, our Fire Safety team can still provide and install free smoke alarms in your home.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue - Emergency Management
The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Program educates people about disaster preparedness for hazards that may impact their area and trains them in basic disaster response skills, such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, and disaster medical operations.
CERT is about readiness, people helping people, rescuer safety and doing the greatest good for the greatest number.
Class dates for January and February are on the current calendar and are filling up! If you or someone that you know is interested in finding out more, check out our CERT page.
