Thousands of Miami-Dade County volunteers will show their commitment to our community by participating in the Biscayne Bay Cleanup Day


(MIAMI, April 15, 2013) - Thousands of volunteers will show their love for the beauty of Biscayne Bay while giving back to the community by taking part in the 31st annual Baynanza Biscayne Bay Cleanup Day.  The largest volunteer shoreline cleanup in South Florida, known as the Baynanza Biscayne Bay Cleanup Day, will take place on Saturday, April 20th from 9 am till noon at 23 different locations throughout the County.  There will be entertainment, music, food, and engaging hands-on environmental activities for the volunteers to enjoy at this year’s main kick-off site, which will be at Haulover Beach Park located at 10800 Collins Ave.  Volunteers at all 23 cleanup sites will receive a free commemorative T-shirt, and community service hours are available to all students who participate in this event.  Baynanza is fun, free, and very fulfilling.

Background

Twenty-three sites throughout Miami-Dade County. The main site for the media and VIPs is Haulover Park Marina (10800 Collins Ave, Miami). At this site event sponsors will provide delicious refreshments, prizes, music, hands-on environmental activities, and much more.
