National Association of Counties (NACo) Land Information GIS Viewer
The GIS Viewer makes it possible for departments involved in the land development process to view and share their GIS data, which includes current and planned development. By integrating the GIS data and providing expanded capabilities for analysis, information about land development and related areas such as permitting and inspections, is readily accessible to the departments involved.
Master Address Repository System
The MARS follows address standards and consists of Geographic Information System data, and applications. Address standards provide a method for documenting the content of an address and help to facilitate data exchange. The GIS data consists of all valid addresses, sub-addresses, street segments, and as a derivative product, intersections.

Miami-Dade County One of Top U.S. Digital Counties
All counties in the United States were invited to participate in the 2006 Digital Counties Survey. County officials responded to questions that included more than 100 measurements and data points about online service delivery, infrastructure, architecture and governance models. In 2006 Miami-Dade continued it’s top ten ranking, which it also earned in 2005.
Miami-Dade Chosen Among the Best 100 Places to Work in Information Technology
Computer World magazine has rated Miami-Dade County among the best 100 places to work in the Information Technology (IT) field. The honor is part of the weekly publication’s 13th annual Best Places to Work in IT survey published in Computerworld.

Miami-Dade Communicators Honored by the National Association of County Information Officers
The Miami-Dade Enterprise Technology Services Department, Online Division earned a “Best of Class” for communications on the web portal, the highest NACIO award given during the competition. The Miami-Dade Communications, Miami-Dade Parks and Recreation and Miami-Dade Water and Sewer departments respectively earned superior awards for their “School Tour Program”, “All you need to know” and Miami-Dade Parks 75th Anniversary Celebration.”

Based on a population category of 500,000 or more, Miami-Dade County, Florida, ranks second in utilizing information technology (IT) to deliver high quality service to its customers and citizens, according to the 2003 Digital Counties Survey, a new study conducted jointly by the Center for Digital Government, National Association of Counties (NACo) and Government Technology magazine.
2003 ITFlorida Awards
ITFlorida presented Miami-Dade County with the Government Technology Leadership Award at the first annual Gala and Technology Forum held in Orlando on July 24th. ITFlorida represents Florida’s diverse information technology community on a statewide basis. The award recognized Miami-Dade County for implementing leading technologies that have improved overall service to the community while streamlining processes and reducing costs.

Miami-Dade County Gets Government Technology Leadership Award form IT Florida Technology Forum The Leadership Award was given to Miami-Dade County for several of the County's inventive programs. The award recognizes innovative technology initiatives for their contributions to a state or local government agency's mission accomplishment, service to the public, and cost effectiveness.
