Curtis Park Sports Complex 1901 NW 24th Street
City of Miami’s first Field Turf football field in Curtis Park.
As part of this innovative improvement project, the existing turf was replaced with 90,000 square feet of new Field Turf, artificial turf that is used throughout the NFL, and two new adjustable goal posts. The field was marked for soccer and football for both High School and College games.
The project was made possible through a private/public partnership between the Miami Dolphins, City of Miami, and the NFL Youth Football Fund. The project’s construction cost was $1,250,000, with funding provided by the City of Miami Homeland Defense Neighborhood Improvement Bond, Impact Fees & General Fund - $1,000,000 and NFL Youth Football Fund Grant - $250,000.
