Florida Chapter of the Recording Academy presents the2004 Florida Heroes Awards
June 6, 2004, 7-11 p.m. honoring: Juanes,
Nine-time Latin GRAMMY Award winner Also
featuring a special presentation to Florida State legislators in recognition of
their support of the arts and arts education in Florida.
Scheduled presenters/performers include Lynyrd Skynyrd, a Jaco Pastorius
musical tribute and more to be announced.

Vortex shows Florida premieres of independent cutting-edge film and video, along
with retrospective 35mm prints of films rarely seen here on the big screen. They
have received consistent praise in the press, including a New Times Best Film
Series in Miami award. The Miami Herald¹s Rene Rodriguez said "If you care
at all about alternative film programming in South Florida, you will show
up...long live Cinema Vortex!" A fundraising
preview reception for the spring season of Cinema Vortex on Tuesday April 13
