Cinevisun Reaches Out To Local Inner City Kids…
Cinevisun, a not-for-profit advocacy organization that facilitates supports and serves the independent film community of South Florida by providing education, connecting communities and creating content, recently held a community outreach event for local inner city kids. On Saturday, June 21st, Cinevisun held their first community outreach event with Pittsburgh Steeler's Super Bowl winning sports star, Tyrone Carter. Mr. Carter provided words of wisdom and advice to the group of young inner city kids.
“To have secured a sports icon such as Tyrone Carter for our event was a big coup and the children were both awe-struck and inspired by Mr. Carter. Cinevisun believes firmly in giving back to the community and this event was a first step in accomplishing this goal,” said Kevin Sharpley, Executive Director of Cinevisun.
Cinevisun’s programs include seminars, networking opportunities, workshops and content creating opportunities to support independent filmmakers and promote film as a vital, influential art form and economic force for the South Florida community.
