Finance Department wins award for Imaging Workflow Automation

The Miami-Dade County Finance Department recently received the National Association of Counties (NACo) 2014 Achievement Award for the implementation of its Accounts Payable Imaging and Workflow Automation (IWA) application. The IWA solution, streamlines and achieves efficiencies in the County’s accounts payable invoice process, initial deployment in August 2012.

Independent Municipal Advisor Exemption

Miami-Dade County, Florida (the County) is aware of the “Municipal Advisor Rule” Adobe PDFof the Securities and Exchange Commission (effective July 1, 2014) and the underwriter exclusion from the definition of “municipal advisor” for a firm serving as an underwriter for a particular issuance of municipal securities.

County Transparency

Miami-Dade County has created this website as a tool to provide visibility on the use of government funds. The County is committed to the continued effort to provide improved access to important information.

Vendor Payment Inquiry

The Finance Department would like to introduce you to the Vendor Payment Inquiry application. The application provides vendors and County departments alike access to invoice check and payment information literally at their  fingertips, reducing the need for time consuming phone calls, and expediting invoice follow-up
