Role During Activations

The role of the Municipal Branch within the Miami-Dade EOC (Emergency Operations Center) is to provide the most efficient response and recovery system possible through effective coordination of municipal and county resources. 

Municipalities are separated into seven divisions which are represented at the Miami-Dade EOC.  The remaining municipalities are assigned to one of the seven Divisional EOC’s: these municipalities are commonly known as Satellite EOCs.

Divisional EOCs have been identified and are hosted by the cities of:

  • Coral Gables
  • Florida International University
  • Hialeah
  • Homestead
  • Miami
  • Miami Beach
  • North Miami
  • North Miami Beach
