Miami-Dade Fire Rescue (MDFR) has grown into one of the top 10 largest fire-rescue departments in the United States with an annual operating budget of $361 million and a $54 million five-year capital plan. MDFR is staffed by 2,429 employees; of which, almost 2,000 are uniformed firefighters.

Employee and Community Affairs Division (ECAD)
The Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Employee and Community Affairs Division (ECAD) provides supportive employee and community outreach programs to MDFR employees and the Miami-Dade residents we serve.
The Fire Chief manages all Miami-Dade Fire Rescue (MDFR) personnel and operations with the assistance of his Executive Staff. In unison, this key group of public safety professionals is responsible for determining department goals with respect to the needs of our community and the safety of our personnel.

The Miami-Dade Fire Rescue (MDFR) Media Relations Office provides lifesaving public safety information to the residents and visitors of Miami-Dade County, while promoting increased community awareness of the many services the department offers.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue (MDFR) offers specialized emergency response services to residents and visitors within the County, and when called upon, MDFR extends our capabilities beyond our borders to aid in mitigation of complex incidents at the State, National and International level.
