Miami-Dade County Fire Departments unite to save lives from Sudden Cardiac Arrest

Fire Officers Association of Miami-Dade United by a Common Goal, Service Excellence

(Miami-Dade County, FL) --
Miami-Dade County Fire Departments, Florida Heart Research Institute, UHealth and South Miami Heart Center will be joining forces on Thursday, May 24th at the Marlins Park for the Marlin’s game with the San Francisco Giants to educate the public on how to save lives using PUSHCPR® to improve survival rates from Sudden Cardiac Arrest.

Local firefighters/paramedics and medical non-profit organizations will teach the public to call 9-1-1 immediately if someone collapses and is not breathing, and then how to perform PUSHCPR® until help arrives.
Sudden Cardiac Arrest kills more than 300,000 people in the US a year and can strike anyone without warning – young or old, fit or unfit, rich or poor.  Survival rates can be significantly improved when PUSHCPR® is administered right away – every second counts.
