Miami-Dade Fire Rescue hosts Fire Station 56 Open House

Free fun for the entire family

(Miami-Dade County, FL) --

You see us every day, but here’s the chance to meet us face-to-face. Get to know Miami-Dade Fire Rescue (MDFR) and learn about what we do in an interactive day of fun and learning. Join us for Fire Station 56 Open House at 16250 SW 72 Street on Saturday, March 21, 2015, beginning at 10 a.m.

Throughout the day, guests will be provided with an inside look at public safety through live demonstrations, fire safety scenarios, informational booths and static equipment displays. The community will also have an opportunity to meet the men and women behind our world-class operations and experience the challenging situations they encounter on a daily basis.

At noon, Station 56 will honor the age-old tradition of truck “push-in” where together; MDFR personnel, elected officials and residents of the surrounding community, will push in the station’s brand new fire truck.

For more information, please contact MDFR's Public Affairs Bureau at 786-331-5200.
