Back to School with Dad

(Miami-Dade County, FL) --

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue (MDFR) has partnered with the Miami-Dade Community Action and Human Services Department (CAHSD) to host Back to School with Dad, aiming to get dads more involved in their children’s education. This ticketed event will take place at Betty T. Ferguson Recreational Complex, 3000 NW 199 Street on Saturday, August 8, 2015 beginning at 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

This family event will help highlight the supportive role of a father in school readiness and educational enrichment of their young children. The celebration will also include games, arts and crafts, fire trucks, patrol cars, the book mobile, and a backpack giveaway.

CAHSD is Miami-Dade County’s largest provider of comprehensive social and human services covering the full lifetime spectrum, from children to the elderly. They aid in relieving hardship and helping Miami-Dade’s residents become self-sufficient, productive and independent.
