Join MDFR to “Fill the Boot” |

As the annual Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) Fill the Boot fundraiser campaign kicks-off, Miami-Dade Fire Rescue (MDFR)/International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) Local 1403 is showing its continuous support in transforming the lives of people affected by muscular dystrophy and other related diseases that limit strength and mobility. This year, we hope you will join us on Friday, Oct. 25, 2019 at 11 a.m. as we “fill the boot” for MDA right outside our Headquarters at the intersection of NW 93 Ct and NW 41 Street in Doral. The same boots MDFR firefighters put on to save lives in our community will also help raise awareness and funds in order to contribute towards this great cause. Continuing the more than 60-year tradition, firefighters will be collecting donations for MDA at major intersections throughout Miami-Dade County from Friday, Oct. 25 through Monday, Oct. 28. Your donations to MDA will help kids and adults with muscular dystrophy, ALS and related muscle-debilitating diseases live longer and grow stronger. Additionally, donations will also help those affected receive care and equipment needed for their specific needs, as well as the funding needed to continue research in order to find a cure.
