Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Palmetto Bay Station #62 Grand Opening Ceremony

(Miami-Dade County, FL) --

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue cordially invites you to attend the grand opening of its Palmetto Bay Fire Station #62 located at the intersection of Old Cutler Road & SW 142 Terrace. The grand opening ceremony is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 9, 2019 at 10 a.m.

This new, state-of-the art 11,000-square foot fire station is LEED certified. This environmentally-friendly building is highly energy efficient as it utilizes solar power to heat water for the station. Station #62 was built to preserve valuable flora and fauna as it maintains the remnant forest on the front of the lot.

The building of the station was funded from Fire District Impact Fees and houses an advanced life support engine with four uniformed personnel 24/7.
