Miami-Dade Fire Rescue (MDFR) will host its 2020 Medal Day Ceremony at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 8, 2020. The ceremony will be held at the MDFR Training Center located in Doral, Florida.
MDFR personnel will be honored for their exceptional serving excellence in performing acts of outstanding bravery in the presence of extreme life-threatening and great personal danger, above and beyond their ordinary call of duty. Several recognitions will be awarded, including the Gold Medal of Valor, the highest decoration of recognition bestowed by the Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Department.
“Today, we gather to honor the valor and heroism of the brave men and women of our Department,” said Interim Fire Chief Alan Cominsky. “These valiant honorees have put their own lives at risk in order to safeguard the lives and property of others.”
Please join us in congratulating and celebrating the 2020 award recipients who exemplify outstanding commitment and proudly continue to embody MDFR's core values of the fire service: integrity, honor, pride, respect and valor.
