CFO and State Fire Marshal Jimmy Patronis to honor Florida's US&R Task Forces during “Year of the US&R” Surfside Memorial Challenge Coin Ceremony at Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Training Facility 

(MIAMI, Feb. 28, 2022) - Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and State Fire Marshal Jimmy Patronis will honor the efforts of the men and women from Florida Task Force One (FL-TF1) and Florida Task Force Two (FL-TF2) on Tuesday, March 1, 2022, at 10 a.m. at the Miami-Dade Fire Rescue (MDFR) Training Facility located in Doral, Florida. 

During the “Year of the US&R” recognition ceremony, each present task force member who assisted in the rescue and recovery efforts during Surfside will receive a Surfside Memorial challenge coin which depicts the seal of the State of Florida and the Fire Marshal's Office on one side, and a partially collapsed Champlain tower on the other.
