Emergency Operations Center (EOC) Support Staff

EOC Support StaffOffice of Emergency Management (OEM) will need to utilize County employees, also known as DAEs, to help with the successful operation of the Emergency Operation Center (EOC) during activations. Positions include document runners, data entry work, call down support and management work. EOC support staff will be assigned to assist an EOC section or branch. This work takes place indoors, on 12-hour shifts or more, day and night, weekends and may occur before, during and after an emergency event. County Departments are responsible for arranging work schedules to support the alpha (day shift) and bravo (night shift) shifts during an activation. The atmosphere may become fast-paced and require multi-tasking. Office and computer skills are necessary. Strong organizational, communication and problem solving skills are necessary.
