Giving Back to the Community
MDFR firefighters from Sweetwater and
Fontainebleau say Happy Thanksgiving not in words but in
action. They collectively raised more than $1,700 to
make sure the less fortunate families of the district
will have turkey meals on November 25th. More than 250
residents from Sweetwater and Fontainebleau were present
at the giveaway which was held at the City of
Sweetwater's Jose Mas Canosa Youth Center. The
firefighters, Commissioner for District 12, Jose "Pepe"
Diaz, and various other City officials were on hand
ready to assist and distribute the turkeys to
pre-selected residents. >>

Dangers of Burglar
Bars More than 4,000 Americans die
each year in fires, and approximately 20,000 are
injured. Security bars may help keep your family safe
from intruders, but they can also trap you in a deadly
fire! Miami-Dade Fire Rescue encourages you to help
reduce the number of fire injuries and deaths associated
with security bars on windows and doors preventing fire
escape. Watch
