Miami-Dade Alerts System being upgraded, re-enrollment required

Beginning Monday, December 17th, 2012, the Miami-Dade Alerts Notification System is being upgraded. The upgrade will make it easier for users to sign up and manage their accounts. As part of the upgrade, current registered users will need to re-enroll to continue receiving alert messages.

Miami-Dade County’s Office of Emergency Management encourages you to take advantage of this great service. Residents in Miami-Dade County who enroll in this alerting system can receive SMS (text) messages or emails providing emergency and public safety information such as weather advisories including tornado and tropical storm/hurricane warnings.

To subscribe to Miami-Dade Alerts or for existing subscribers who want to continue receiving alerts, please sign up at:

Those who enroll to receive Miami-Dade Alert messages should be aware that standard message and data rates may apply to each text message sent or received, and other charges may apply as defined in the user’s wireless-service rate plan.
