(MIAMI, June 27, 2014) – In an effort to bring our stations and our firefighters closer to the communities we serve, Miami-Dade Fire Rescue (MDFR) will be hosting an open house at Fire Station # 8 on Saturday, June 28, 2014 beginning at 10 a.m.
 
Throughout the day, guests will be provided with an inside look at public safety through interactive demonstrations, informational booths and static equipment displays.  Attendees will also have the opportunity to see the trailer for the upcoming animated film Planes: Fire Rescue and win tickets to see the release of the film on July 18, 2014.  
 
The community will also have an opportunity to meet the men and women behind our world-class operations and experience the challenging scenarios they encounter on a daily basis.
