MDFR celebrates firefighter recruit class 125 graduation ceremony |

(MIAMI, January 7, 2015) – Miami-Dade Fire Rescue (MDFR) will celebrate the graduation of its newest firefighter recruit class at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, January 9, 2015 at MDFR’s Training Center Auditorium at 9300 NW 41 Street in Doral. The group of 17 men and 1 woman bring extensive experience to MDFR since more than half of the new recruits have served with other career fire departments. These new firefighters underwent an intense 10 week training academy. MDFR has grown into one of the top ten largest fire-rescue departments in the United States and is staffed by more than 2,300 employees; of which, almost 2,000 are uniformed firefighters.
