Smoke Alarm Installation Request Form

Did you know having working smoke alarms in your home can double your chances of survival if a fire occurs?  Miami-Dade Fire Rescue’s Free Smoke Alarm Installation Program can help keep you safe in your home. Two 10-year lithium battery operated alarms will be provided and installed, at no cost, to qualified Miami-Dade county homeowners upon request.

In order to obtain your two free smoke alarms, you must meet the following criteria:

  1. You must be 62 years or older
  2. Be the homeowner residing within the dwelling
  3. Live within Miami-Dade Fire Rescue’s service territory
  4. Currently do not have any working smoke alarms in your home

If you qualify, please call our Free Smoke Alarm Installation Program Hotline at 786-336-FIRE (3473). You can also apply by using the online form (the link is already on the page). The program is funded by a FEMA AFG Grant and supplies are limited.
