REPORT: Chairperson Seijas requested the County Manager submit his report on the study to the Committee by July 1, 2004. Assistant County Manager Hernandez stated that Mr. Ruben Lopez, Director, Enterprise Technology Services Department (ETSD), was assigned to review the issues between the Department and the Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Department. Commissioner Diaz requested that he be added as a co-sponsor of the foregoing resolution.

TITLE
RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE COUNTY MANAGER TO APPOINT AN ADMINISTRATIVE REVIEW COMMITTEE TO STUDY THE CHARGES AND SERVICES THE ENTERPRISE TECHNOLOGY SERVICES DEPARTMENT PROVIDES TO THE MIAMI-DADE FIRE RESCUE DEPARTMENT

BODY
WHEREAS, the validity of the charges the Enterprise Technology Services Department (ETSD) has made to the Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Department has been questioned; and
WHEREAS, this Board is desirous of reviewing the charges made and services provided by the ETSD to the Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Department over the past decade,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that:
Section 1. The County Manager is requested to appoint an administrative review committee to study the charges and services the Enterprise Technology Services Department has provided in recent years to the Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Department.
Section 2. The committee should include firefighters and appropriate staff from both departments.
Section 3. The County Manager should submit his report and, if warranted, any recommendations for reconciling the charges by July 1, 2004.
