Board of County Commissioners 6/21/2005 11A2 Adopted P
REPORT: In response to Commissioner Seijas’ request for clarification, Ms. Jennifer Glazer-Moon, Budget Director, OSBM, noted the countywide in-kind reserve was for departments that operate solely out of the General Fund and Miami-Dade Transit did not qualify for reimbursement from the in-kind reserves since it generated its own revenues. In response to Commissioner Seijas’ question, she noted Miami-Dade Transit’s Budget would absorb the in-kind services that were provided at this event. There being no objection, the Board proceeded to vote on the motion as moved by Commissioner Heyman.

County Attorney 6/14/2005 Assigned Diamela Del Castillo

Regional Transportation Committee 6/8/2005 2A Amended Forwarded to BCC with a favorable recommendation with committee amendment(s) P
REPORT: Assistant County Attorney Abigail Price-Williams advised that the foregoing proposed resolution was amended to reflect that the in-kind services were being funded from the Transit Department’s budget. Commissioner Heyman provided an overview of the proposed resolution, noting the awards and festival showcased the community. Commissioner Sorenson spoke in opposition to the proposed resolution. She stated this was a for-profit organization and the County did not have a countywide in-kind reserve fund that included the Miami-Dade Transit Department.
