TITLE
RESOLUTION APPROVING THE 2007 TRI-COUNTY COMMISSION LEGISLATIVE PACKAGE

BODY
WHEREAS, the Broward, Miami-Dade and Palm Beach Boards of County Commissioners, acting as the Tri-County Commission, wish to promote regionalism, wherever common goals exist, and agree with respect to the legislative agenda attached hereto,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that this Board:
Section 1. Approves the 2007 Tri-County Commission Legislative Package, which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, to the extent not inconsistent with the Miami-Dade County State and Federal Legislative Packages.
Section 2. Urges the U.S. Congress to enact the federal issues contained therein.
Section 3. Urges the Florida Legislature to enact the state issues contained therein.
Section 4. Directs the Clerk of the Board to send a certified copy of this resolution to the member of the Miami-Dade Congressional Delegation and the Chair and members of the Miami-Dade State Legislative Delegation.
Section 5. Directs the Office of Intergovernmental Affairs to work together with their counterparts in Broward and Palm Beach Counties to advocate for the items included in the 2007 Tri-County Commission Legislative Package.
