REPORT:	County Attorney Hugo Benitez read the foregoing proposed resolution into the record. He asked that this resolution be amended to add the following language: "that the funding will come from in-kind reserve fund in the amount of $132.75 and the in-kind services funded from the Countywide in-kind reserve fund," as opposed to the funding stated in the resolution. Hearing no other questions or comments, the Committee proceeded to vote.

RESOLUTION RETROACTIVELY AUTHORIZING IN-KIND SERVICES FROM THE MIAMI-DADE FIRE RESCUE DEPARTMENT AND THE MIAMI-DADE WATER AND SEWER DEPARTMENT FOR THE MARCH 4, 2007 SPECIAL OLYMPICS SUMMER GAMES 2007 SPONSORED BY THE SPECIAL OLYMPICS FLORIDA, INC., A NOT-FOR-PROFIT ORGANIZATION, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $1,823.25 TO BE FUNDED IN PART FROM THE NON-AD VALOREM PORTION OF THE FIRE RESCUE DISTRICT IN-KIND RESERVE FUND AND THE COUNTYWIDE IN-KIND RESERVE FUND

WHEREAS, the Special Olympics Florida, Inc. has requested in-kind services from the Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Department and the Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department for the March 4, 2007 Special Olympics Summer Games 2007 in an amount not to exceed $1,823.25 (see attached Fee Waiver/In-kind Service Application); and
WHEREAS, the Special Olympics Florida, Inc. is a not-for-profit organization; and
WHEREAS, Special Olympics Summer Games 2007 is a special event, as that term is defined on the attached Fee Waiver/In-kind Service Application, and $1,690.50 of the in-kind services shall be funded from the non-ad valorem portion of the Fire Rescue District In-kind Reserve Fund and $132.75 of the in-kind services shall be funded from the Countywide In-kind Reserve Fund,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that this Board retroactively authorizes in-kind services from the Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Department and the Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department for the March 4, 2007 Special Olympics Summer Games 2007 in an amount not to exceed $1,823.25 to be funded in part from the non-ad valorem portion of the Fire Rescue District In-kind Reserve Fund and in part from the Countywide In-kind Reserve Fund.
