TITLE
RESOLUTION RETROACTIVELY AUTHORIZING IN-KIND SERVICES FROM THE MIAMI-DADE FIRE RESCUE DEPARTMENT FOR THE JULY 4, 2007 ANNUAL INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION SPONSORED BY THE CITY OF NORTH MIAMI, A NOT-FOR-PROFIT ORGANIZATION, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $517.00 TO BE FUNDED FROM THE NON-AD VALOREM PORTION OF THE FIRE RESCUE IN-KIND RESERVE FUND

BODY
WHEREAS, the City of North Miami has requested in-kind services from the Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Department for the July 4, 2007 Annual Independence Day Celebration in an amount not to exceed $517.00 (see attached Fee Waiver/In-kind Service Application); and
WHEREAS, the purpose of the Annual Independence Day Celebration is to allow the community an opportunity to celebrate the observed holiday and to use fireworks in a safe and controlled environment.; and
WHEREAS, the City of North Miami is a not-for-profit organization; and
WHEREAS, the Annual Independence Day Celebration is a special event, as defined in the attached Fee Waiver/In-kind Service Application and the in-kind services shall be funded from the non-ad valorem portion of the Fire Rescue In-kind Reserve Fund,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that this Board retroactively authorizes in-kind services from the Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Department for the July 4, 2007 Annual Independence Day Celebration in an amount not to exceed $517.00 to be funded from the non-ad valorem portion of the Fire Rescue In-kind Reserve Fund.
