TITLE
RESOLUTION RETROACTIVELY AUTHORIZING IN-KIND SERVICES FROM THE MIAMI-DADE PARK AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT FOR THE APRIL 8, 2007 EASTER COMMUNITY CELEBRATION SPONSORED BY MIAMI BETHANY COMMUNITY SERVICES, INC., A NOT-FOR-PROFIT ORGANIZATION, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $3,450.00 TO BE FUNDED FROM THE COUNTYWIDE IN-KIND RESERVE FUND

BODY
WHEREAS, Miami Bethany Community Services, Inc., has requested in-kind services from the Miami-Dade Parks and Recreation Department for the April 8, 2007 Easter Community Celebration in an amount not to exceed $3,450.00 (see attached Fee Waiver/In-kind Service Application); and
WHEREAS, the Easter Community Celebration is a free event and the purpose of this event is to serve over 4,000 low-income individuals by screening and enrolling them into Medicaid, the Food Stamp Program, Earned Income Tax Credit Program; and
WHEREAS, Miami Bethany Community Services, Inc., is a not-for-profit organization; and
WHEREAS, the Easter Community Celebration is a special event, as that term is defined in the attached Fee Waiver/In-kind Service Application, and the in-kind services shall be funded from the Countywide In-kind Reserve Fund,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that this Board retroactively authorizes in-kind services from the Miami-Dade Parks and Recreation Department for the April 8, 2007 Easter Community Celebration in an amount not to exceed $3,450.00 to be funded from the Countywide In-kind Reserve Fund.
