Board of County Commissioners 3/4/2008 14A1 Adopted P
REPORT: Commissioner Moss asked to be added as a co-sponsor to the foregoing resolution. Commissioner Jordan expressed concern regarding County owned facilities being patrolled by Miami-Dade County’s Police officers and inquired whether ensuring that this happened was possible. County Attorney Cuevas advised that the City of Miami conveyed a portion of the American Airlines Arena (AAA) site to the County with a condition that required City of Miami Police officers to patrol the AAA during events. He pointed out that in the future each County owned site could negotiate the police services issue, however, to unilaterally change this presented a problem. Commissioner Gimenez stated that he supported the foregoing proposed resolution.
