REPORT:	Assistant County Attorney Gerald Heffernan read the foregoing proposed resolution into the record. Commissioner Heyman asked Special Assistant to the County Manager Jennifer Glazer-Moon to provide her with a copy of the April 6, 2009, memorandum that reflected the balance of the Countywide In-Kind Reserve fund. Hearing no other questions or comments, the Committee proceeded to vote.

TITLE
RESOLUTION RETROACTIVELY AUTHORIZING IN-KIND SERVICES FROM THE MIAMI-DADE PARK AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT FOR THE MARCH 5, 2009 �ANNUAL FCAT PEP RALLY� SPONSORED BY THE EUGENIA B. THOMAS K-8 CENTER, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $5,050.00 TO BE FUNDED FROM THE DISTRICT 12 IN-KIND RESERVE FUND

BODY
WHEREAS, Eugenia B. Thomas K-8 Center, has requested in-kind services from the Miami-Dade Park and Recreation Department for the March 5, 2009 �Annual FCAT Pep Rally� in an amount not to exceed $5,050.00 (see attached Fee Waiver/In-kind Service Application); and
WHEREAS, the purpose of the �Annual FCAT Pep Rally� event is to motivate and inspire students to succeed in the Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test; and
WHEREAS, the �Annual FCAT Pep Rally� is a small event, as that term is defined on the attached Fee Waiver/In-kind Service Application, and $5,050.00 of the in-kind services shall be funded from the District 12 In-kind Reserve Fund,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that this Board retroactively authorizes in-kind services from the Miami-Dade Park and Recreation Department for the March 5, 2009 �Annual FCAT Pep Rally� in an amount not to exceed $5,050.00 to be funded from the District 12 In-kind Reserve Fund.
