TITLE
RESOLUTION REAPPOINTING RONALD BOOK TO THE MIAMI-DADE COUNTY HOMELESS TRUST BOARD; WAIVING THE TERM LIMITS OF SECTION 2-752(C) OF THE CODE OF MIAMI-DADE COUNTY; AND WAIVING THE RESIDENCY REQUIREMENTS OF SECTION 2-11.38 OF THE CODE OF MIAMI-DADE COUNTY

BODY
WHEREAS, Ronald Book�s dedication, service and professional experience have significantly contributed to Miami-Dade County; and
WHEREAS, Ronald Book has served as a dedicated member of the Miami-Dade County Homeless Trust (�Homeless Trust�) since its inception; and
WHEREAS, Ronald Book has successfully served as the Chair of the Homeless Trust for over four years; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-752(c) of the Miami-Dade County Code, the Board of County Commissioners (the �Board�) is authorized by a two-thirds (2/3) vote of its full membership to waive the established term limits; and
WHEREAS, Section 2-11.38 of the Miami-Dade County Code requires that all members of County boards be permanent residents of Miami-Dade County; and
WHEREAS, Ronald Book is not a permanent resident of Miami-Dade County; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to 2-11.38 of the Miami-Dade County Code, the Board is authorized by a two-thirds (2/3) vote of its membership to waive this residency requirement,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that this Board, pursuant to Section 2-752(c) of the Code of Miami-Dade County, waives the established terms limits; and pursuant to Section 2-11.38 of the Code of Miami-Dade County, waives the residency requirement, thereby reappointing Ronald Book to the Homeless Trust Board.
