TITLE
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE COUNTY MAYOR OR MAYOR'S DESIGNEE TO NEGOTIATE AN AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY OF NORTH MIAMI FOR MIAMI-DADE COUNTY TO PARTICIPATE IN THE FUNDING OF UP TO $215,000.00 FROM DISTRICT 4 QNIP FUNDS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A PEDESTRIAN PATH ON PROPERTY OWNED BY BOTH THE CITY AND MIAMI-DADE COUNTY ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF N.E. 151st STREET FROM DAVID LAWRENCE JUNIOR K THROUGH 8 SCHOOL TO THE ENTRANCE OF THE LANDINGS

WHEREAS, Miami-Dade County wishes to facilitate the construction of a pedestrian path to be located on both County and City of North Miami property on the south side of NE 151st Street from David Lawrence Junior K through 8 School to the entrance of the Landings development in North Miami, Miami Dade County, Florida for the purpose of public safety,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that this Board hereby directs the County Mayor or Mayor's designee to contact his counterpart at the City of North Miami to negotiate an agreement for the construction of a pedestrian path on the South side of NE 151st Street on property owned by both Miami-Dade County and the City of North Miami from David Lawrence Junior K through 8 School to the entrance of the Landings development, with the Miami-Dade County contributing up to $215,000.00 toward the construction costs of the pedestrian path from District 4 QNIP funds.
