RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING IN-KIND SERVICES FROM THE MIAMI-DADE PARK AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT FOR THE APRIL 17, 2010 �MIAMI HONG KONG DRAGON BOAT FESTIVAL� SPONSORED BY THE MIAMI OVERSEAS CHINESE ASSOCIATION, INC., A NOT-FOR-PROFIT ORGANIZATION, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $4,166.00 TO BE FUNDED FROM THE DISTRICT 4 IN-KIND RESERVE FUND

WHEREAS, Miami Overseas Chinese Association, Inc. has requested in-kind services from the Miami-Dade Park and Recreation Department for the April 17, 2010 �Miami Hong Kong Dragon Boat Festival� in an amount not to exceed [[$9,251.00]] >>$4,166.00<<1 (see attached Fee Waiver/In-kind Service Application); and
WHEREAS, the �Miami Hong Kong Dragon Boat Festival� features Chinese Dragon Boat Racing and benefits the Red Cross; and
WHEREAS, Miami Overseas Chinese Association, Inc. is a not-for-profit organization; and
WHEREAS, the �Miami Hong Kong Dragon Boat Festival� is a small event, as that term is defined on the attached Fee Waiver/In-kind Service Application, and [[$9,251.00]] >>$4,166.00<< of the in-kind services shall be funded from the District 4 In-kind Reserve Fund,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that this Board authorizes in-kind services from the Miami-Dade Park and Recreation Department for the April 17, 2010 �Miami Hong Kong Dragon Boat Festival� in an amount not to exceed [[$9,251.00]] >>$4,166.00<< to be funded from the District 4 In-kind Reserve Fund.
