TITLE
RESOLUTION REQUIRING WRITTEN RESPONSE OR REPLY BY THE ADMINISTRATION TO DISCUSSION ITEMS ON A BOARD OR COMMITTEE AGENDA BE PROVIDED WITHIN A TIME CERTAIN PRIOR TO THE SCHEDULED MEETING

WHEREAS, the County Mayor, the Mayor�s designee, and administrative departments that report to the Mayor (the �Administration�) often provide written responses, such as memorandums and reports, to the Board of County Commissioners or Commission Committee members regarding discussion items on Board or Commission Committee agendas; and
WHEREAS, in order to be fully informed and briefed prior to considering these discussion items and in order to afford the Board and Commission Committee members an opportunity to properly evaluate and consider such responses and replies, this Board desires that such written responses or replies be provided to the Board and Commission Committee members in a timely manner,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that it is the policy of this Board that if the Administration receives written notification that a certain discussion item will be placed on a Board or Committee agenda at least ten days prior to the scheduled meeting, any written response or reply by the Administration to that discussion item shall be provided to the Board of County Commissioners or the Commission Committee members at least two business days prior to the date of the scheduled meeting and further directing the Mayor to carry out this policy.
