TITLE
RESOLUTION CO-DESIGNATING NW 137TH AVENUE FROM STATE ROAD 836 TO NW 17TH STREET AS �BEACON LAKES BOULEVARD�

BODY
WHEREAS, Beacon Lakes is a 478-acre business park with more than 6 million square feet of industrial space; and
WHEREAS, located in one of the most active distribution markets in the U.S., Beacon Lakes is home to nearly 30 industry leaders including Ryder System, Inc., Panalpina and Mobis Parts America, LLC, among others; and
WHEREAS, Beacon Lakes brings many benefits to the community including hundreds of jobs and millions of dollars in real estate taxes; and
WHEREAS, this Board would like to recognize Beacon Lakes by co-designating NW 137th Avenue from State Road 836 to NW 17th Street as �Beacon Lakes Boulevard�; and
WHEREAS, NW 137th Avenue from State Road 836 to NW 17th Street is a County road located in unincorporated Miami-Dade County; and
WHEREAS, this proposed codesignation is located in County Commission District 12,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that this Board:
Section 1. Having considered this matter at a public hearing, co-designates NW 137th Avenue from State Road 836 to NW 17th Street as �Beacon Lakes Boulevard�.
Section 2. Directs the Clerk of the Board to transmit a certified copy of this resolution to the United States Postal Service, the Traffic Signals and Signs Division of the Public Works Department and Land Development Division of the Public Works Department, the Miami-Dade Police Department, and the Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Department.
