TITLE
RESOLUTION APPROVING THE STATE CO-DESIGNATION OF NE 6TH AVENUE FROM NE 113TH STREET TO NE 121ST STREET AS �BISCAYNE PARK WAY�

BODY
WHEREAS, during the 2010 regular session, the Florida Legislature passed HB 5 which designated NE 6th Avenue from NE 113th Street to NE 121st Street as �Biscayne Park Way�; and
WHEREAS, this state road co-designation is in recognition of the Village of Biscayne Park and runs the length of the Village on NE 6th Avenue; and
WHEREAS, section 334.071, Florida Statutes, provides that the installation of road designation signs shall be contingent on the applicable county or city commission passing a resolution in support of the particular honorary road designation; and
WHEREAS, NE 6th Avenue from NE 113th Street to NE 121st Street is a state road located in the Village of Biscayne Park; and
WHEREAS, this co-designation is located in County Commission District 4,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that this Board:
Section 1. Approves the state co-designation of NE 6th Avenue from NE 113th Street to NE 121st Street as �Biscayne Park Way.�
Section 2. Directs the Clerk of the Board to send certified copies of this Resolution to the Secretary of the Florida Department of Transportation and the Traffic Signals and Signs Division of the Public Works Department and Land Development Division of the Public Works Department.
