RESOLUTION RETROACTIVELY AUTHORIZING IN-KIND SERVICES FROM THE GENERAL SERVICES ADMINISTRATION DEPARTMENT FOR THE JULY 18, 2010 �ZO�S SUMMER GROOVE BLOCK PARTY AND ALL-STAR BASKETBALL GAME� SPONSORED BY ALONZO MOURNING CHARITIES, INC., A NOT-FOR-PROFIT ORGANIZATION, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $500.00 TO BE FUNDED FROM THE UNSPENT BALANCE OF DISTRICT 3 AND DISTRICT 5 FY 2008-09 IN-KIND RESERVE FUNDS

WHEREAS, Alonzo Mourning Charities, Inc. has requested in-kind services from the Miami-Dade General Services Administration Department for the July 18, 2010 �Zo�s Summer Groove Block Party and All-Star Basketball Game� in an amount not to exceed $500.00 (see attached Fee Waiver/In-kind Service Application); and
WHEREAS, �Zo�s Summer Groove Block Party and All-Star Basketball Game� is an all-day event which offers residents free health screenings; and
WHEREAS, Alonzo Mourning Charities, Inc. is a not-for-profit organization; and
WHEREAS, �Zo�s Summer Groove Block Party and All-Star Basketball Game� is a district event, as that term is defined on the attached Fee Waiver/In-kind Service Application, and $500.00 of the in-kind services shall be funded from the unspent balance of District 3 and District 5 FY 2008-09 In-kind Reserve Funds,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that this Board retroactively authorizes in-kind services from the Miami-Dade General Services Administration Department for the July 18, 2010 �Summer Groove Block Party and All-Star Basketball Game� in an amount not to exceed $500.00 to be funded from the unspent balance of District 3 and District 5 FY 2008-09 In-kind Reserve Funds.
