TITLE RESOLUTION APPROVING THE CITY OF MIAMI CO-DESIGNATION OF NW 28TH STREET FROM NW 17TH AVENUE TO NW 21ST AVENUE AS �RADIO PAZ WAY� BODY WHEREAS, on October 14th, 2010, the City of Miami Commission adopted Resolution R-10-0453, which designated NW 28th Street from NW 17th Avenue to NW 21st Avenue as �Radio Paz Way,� a copy of which is attached and incorporated by reference; and WHEREAS, Radio Paz was founded by Father Federico Capdepon in December 1990 with a two hour program called �Amanecer�; and WHEREAS, in 1996, Radio Paz began 24-hour daily programming, being the first Spanish-language Catholic radio station in the U.S.; and WHEREAS, NW 28th Street from NW 17th Avenue to NW 21st Avenue is a city street located in the City of Miami; and WHEREAS, the City of Miami has requested that the County install signage indicating this co-designation on County street signs and traffic signal masts arms; and WHEREAS, this co-designation is located in County Commission District 3, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that this Board: Section 1. Approves the City of Miami co-designation of NW 28th Street from NW 17th Avenue to NW 21st Avenue as �Radio Paz Way�. Section 2. Directs the Clerk of the Board to send certified copies of this Resolution to the City Manager of the City of Miami the U.S. Postal Service, the Traffic Signals and Signs Division of the Public Works Department and Land Development Division of the Public Works Department, the City of Miami Police Department, and the City of Miami Fire Rescue Department. |
