RESOLUTION RETROACTIVELY AUTHORIZING IN-KIND SERVICES FROM THE MIAMI-DADE PARK AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT FOR THE MARCH 12, 2011 �CLAIM THE CITY: RECLAIMING OUR LIVES� EVENT SPONSORED BY MIAMI RIDGEWAY CHURCH OF GOD OF PROPHECY, INC., A NOT-FOR-PROFIT ORGANIZATION, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $650.00 TO BE FUNDED FROM THE UNSPENT BALANCE OF THE DISTRICT 3 FY 2008-09 IN-KIND RESERVE FUND

WHEREAS, Miami Ridgeway Church of God of Prophecy, Inc. has requested in-kind services from the Miami-Dade Park and Recreation Department for the March 12, 2011 �Claim the City: Reclaiming Our Lives� event in an amount not to exceed $650.00 (see attached Fee Waiver/In-kind Service Application); and
WHEREAS, the �Claim the City: Reclaiming Our Lives� event is a free community event aimed at encouraging youth to choose a positive path in life; and
WHEREAS, Miami Ridgeway Church of God of Prophecy, Inc. is a not-for-profit organization; and
WHEREAS, the �Claim the City: Reclaiming Our Lives� is a small event, as that term is defined on the attached Fee Waiver/In-kind Service Application, and $650.00 of the in-kind services shall be funded from the unspent balance of the District 3 FY 2008-09 In-kind Reserve Fund,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that this Board retroactively authorizes in-kind services from the Miami-Dade Park and Recreation Department for the March 12, 2011 �Claim the City: Reclaiming Our Lives� event in an amount not to exceed $650.00 to be funded from the unspent balance of the District 3 FY 2008-09 In-kind Reserve Fund.
