REPORT: | Assistant County Attorney Monica Rizo read the foregoing proposed resolution into the record. Commissioner Sosa asked that the feasibility study include the fiscal impact study and the potential liabilities associated with operating the proposed roller-coaster at Zoo Miami. It was moved by Commissioner Sosa that the foregoing resolution be adopted. This motion was seconded by Commissioner Heyman. Commissioner Heyman asked that she be added as a co-sponsor. Assistant County Attorney Monica Rizo asked that this resolution be amended to as part of feasibility study to include the fiscal impact and liability of the operator. Commissioner Sosa inquired whether proposed amendments to Committee items could be forward to the County Commission, with a suggestion/recommendation that the item be amended as proposed by the Committee; and that the amendment be offered by the sponsoring commissioner(s) later. Michael Spring, Director, Cultural Affairs, noted staff could certainly take this as a definition of feasibility as opposed to amending this item. Essentially, they would include these as factors to consider in examining feasibility. Hearing no further questions or comments, the Committee proceeded to vote on the foregoing proposed resolution. | ||||||
