TITLE
RESOLUTION NAMING THE INTERIOR ROAD THAT LEADS TO THE VETERANS� MEMORIAL IN TROPICAL PARK AS �VETERANS WAY�; DIRECTING THAT SUITABLE SIGNAGE BE INSTALLED

BODY
WHEREAS, the Veterans� Memorial in Tropical Park honors the men and women who have served in the United States Armed Forces and who have risked their lives to preserve our nation�s freedom; and
WHEREAS, many visitors to Tropical Park are not aware that the Veterans� Memorial is located there; and
WHEREAS, naming the interior road that leads to the Veterans� Memorial in Tropical Park as �Veterans Way� would increase public awareness of the Veterans� Memorial and the sacrifices that it represents,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that this Board:
Section 1. Having considered this matter at a public hearing, names the interior road that leads to the Veterans� Memorial in Tropical Park as �Veterans Way.�
Section 2. Directs the Mayor or designee to install suitable signage identifying the interior road that leads to the Veterans� Memorial in Tropical Park as �Veterans Way.�
