RESOLUTION RETROACTIVELY AUTHORIZING IN-KIND SERVICES FROM THE PARKS, RECREATION, AND OPEN SPACES DEPARTMENT FOR THE OCTOBER 15, 2011 �HISPANIC HERITAGE NIGHT 2011� EVENT SPONSORED BY GLADEVIEW BAPTIST CHURCH OF MIAMI, INC., A NOT-FOR-PROFIT ORGANIZATION, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $3,820.00 TO BE FUNDED FROM THE DISTRICT 11 FY 2011-12 IN-KIND RESERVE FUND

BODY

WHEREAS, Gladeview Baptist Church of Miami, Inc., has requested in-kind services from the Parks, Recreation, and Open Spaces Department for the October 15, 2011 �Hispanic Heritage Night 2011� event in an amount not to exceed $3,820.00 (see attached Fee Waiver/In-kind Service Application); and
WHEREAS, the purpose of the �Hispanic Heritage Night 2011� event is to, among other things, celebrate cultural differences and enjoy folkloric dances and typical foods of the featured Hispanic countries; and
WHEREAS, Gladeview Baptist Church of Miami, Inc., is a not-for-profit organization; and
WHEREAS, the �Hispanic Heritage Night 2011� is a district event, as that term is defined in the attached Fee Waiver/In-kind Service Application, and $3,820.00 of the in-kind services shall be funded from the District 11 FY 2011-12 In-Kind Reserve Fund,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that this Board retroactively authorizes in-kind services from the Parks, Recreation, and Open Spaces Department for the October 15, 2011 �Hispanic Heritage Night 2011� event sponsored by Gladeview Baptist Church of Miami, Inc., in an amount not to exceed $3,820.00 to be funded from the District 11 FY 2011-12 In-Kind Reserve Fund.
