RESOLUTION RETROACTIVELY AUTHORIZING IN-KIND SERVICES FROM THE PARKS, RECREATION, AND OPEN SPACES DEPARTMENT FOR THE MAY 5 - 6, 2012 �SURF BAL BAY RELAY FOR LIFE� SPONSORED BY BAL HARBOUR POLICE DEPARTMENT, A GOVERNMENTAL AGENCY, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $790.00 TO BE FUNDED FROM THE DISTRICT 4 FY 2011-12 IN-KIND RESERVE FUND

BODY

WHEREAS, Bal Harbour Police Department has requested in-kind services from the Parks, Recreation, and Open Spaces Department for the May 5 - 6, 2012 �Surf Bal Bay Relay for Life� in an amount not to exceed $790.00 (see attached Fee Waiver/In-kind Service Application); and
WHEREAS, the purpose of the �Surf Bal Bay Relay for Life� is to raise funds for the American Cancer Society; and
WHEREAS, Bal Harbour Police Department is a governmental agency; and
WHEREAS, the �Surf Bal Bay Relay for Life� is a district event, as that term is defined in the attached Fee Waiver/In-kind Service Application, and $790.00 of the in-kind services shall be funded from the District 4 FY 2011-12 In-Kind Reserve Fund,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that this Board retroactively authorizes in-kind services from the Parks, Recreation, and Open Spaces Department for the May 5 - 6, 2012 �Surf Bal Bay Relay for Life� event sponsored by the Bal Harbour Police Department, in an amount not to exceed $790.00 to be funded from the District 4 FY 2011-12 In-Kind Reserve Fund.
