TITLE
RESOLUTION WAIVING TERM LIMITS FOR THE RE-APPOINTMENT OF RICHARD BROWN-MORILLA TO THE COMMUNITY ACTION AGENCY BOARD

BODY
WHEREAS, on January 21, 2010, the Board of County Commissioners enacted Ordinance No. 10-06, amending Chapter 2, Section 2-11.38.2 of the Code of Miami-Dade County, Florida to permit the waiver of term limits for County Board members; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 2-11.38.2 of the Code of Miami-Dade County, no board member shall serve for more than eight (8) consecutive years on a board unless waived by a two-thirds (2/3) vote of the members present of the Board of County Commissioners; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 2-2045(b) of the Code of Miami-Dade County, members of the Community Action Agency Board serve for two year terms and cannot serve more than four consecutive terms; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners wishes to waive the applicable term limits and reappoint Richard Brown-Morilla to the Community Action Agency Board for another term,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that this Board hereby authorizes and approves, by a two-thirds (2/3) vote of the Board, the re-appointment of Richard Brown-Morilla to an additional two (2) year term as a member of the Community Action Agency Board.
